Using the word wareware

E mōhio ana koutou e rua ngā tūmomo kupu o te reo Māori mō ngā mahi, ko ngā tūmahi ka taea te kūmuri hangū te tāpiri, arā, ko ngā kupu passive, ā, ko ngā kupu kāore e taea te kūmuri hangū te tāpiri, arā, ko nga kupu stative.

E tika ana ka noho te kupu i te rōpū kotahi, hāunga i ētehi kupu pēnā i te kupu ‘wareware’. I te nuinga o te wā he kupu tūāhua (stative), engari i ētehi wā ka tāpirihia te kūmuri hangū ‘tia’. Anei ētehi tauira:

Kua wareware i a au āku kī.
I forgot my keys.

I warewaretia ētehi tikanga mō te tangihanga.
Some of the funeral customs were forgotten.

Mehemea ka tāpirihia te kupu ‘tia’ he mea āta wareware tēnā, arā, he hiahia nō te kaikōrero kia wareware taua mea.

Kāore e tika ana tēnei kupu ‘wareware’ i roto i ngā rerenga kōrero e whakanui ana i te kaimahi, arā, te ‘nā . . . i’ me te ‘mā . . . e’.

Tirohia te pukapuka Te Māhuri i te whārangi 31.

Kua hoatu ngā rerenga kōrero Pākehā, ko tāu mahi, kia whakamāoritia hei whakakī i ngā āputa.

Kei wareware ki te whakamahi i ngā piko, ngā tohu pātai, ngā kopi me ngā tohutō i ngā wāhi e tika ana.
